Not quite. For a start it's an entirely new concept, and important enough to be General Motor's biggest news from the Detroit show. An electric motor drives the front wheels.
The new Porsche Macan gets pride of place in Harrods’ window. Harrods display windows have become a happy stomping ground for car makers in recent years, with everyone from MINI to Hyundai (here and here) taking up prime Harrods real estate to showcase their latest cars. Now its the turn of Porsche to get their newest cars on display to Harrods’ customers and passing Londoners and visitors as they take over a window until 5th February.
Would you buy a posh Mondeo? Ford is betting that some people will, as next year sees the Blue Oval introduce a new Vignale trim level and equipment package that offers not just more style and luxury for your money but also an exclusive, premium customer and ownership experience. As a precursor to this move, Ford has today unveiled a pair of Mondeo Vignale Concept cars, one based on the next-generation Mondeo saloon, the other on the estate.
